Hand Grip + Umbrella Handle for Muscle’s Rehabilitation for SDI Gifts

A dual-purpose umbrella handle designed with a flexible elastomer core that turns everyday walking into hand and finger rehabilitation/workout.

Role: Design Director, Inventor, Lead Industrial Designer.
Scope: Product concept, ergonomic research, industrial design, material exploration, mechanism development, prototyping, user testing, and brand presentation.
Impact: Introduced a novel rehabilitation concept that merged wellness with everyday objects, sparking strong interest from manufacturers and becoming one of SDI’s standout innovative experiments.
Originally invented after a personal injury, the handle lets users strengthen grip, recover mobility, and stay active—without interrupting daily life.
